Omnia Table
Overview
OMNIA is an expandable dining table designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 people. It features wooden legs and offers your choice of a glass, wood, or ceramic-stone top. Its distinctive look is achieved by suspending the top above the wooden frame. The table's legs remain at the corners and extend on one side, allowing you to easily lift the extension leaf into place with a rotational movement
What Makes the Omnia Unique: The Perimeter-Leg Extension Mechanism
The OMNIA table contains an ingenious mechanism able to expand the top surface. Pull the frame towards you so that the two legs with hidden castors slide on one side allowing the leaf to be pulled out. With a simple rotation the leaf fitted on metal tracks comes out of its housing and lines up with the top. The perimeter legs have a slanting cut in the inside part, a distinctive detail in the aesthetics. Calligaris
In practical terms: the two legs on one side of the table have hidden castors (wheels) built into their bases. When you pull the frame, those two legs roll outward along the floor while the other two legs remain stationary. This creates a gap in the center of the table into which the self-stored leaf rotates up from beneath — fitting on metal tracks and lining up flush with the top. No external storage is needed, no second person is required, and the legs always remain at the corners throughout the extension process — the table never looks asymmetrical or architecturally incomplete at any stage.
This is meaningfully different from a butterfly leaf (which splits the top from the center outward) or a drop-leaf (which folds down from a fixed top). The Omnia's mechanism is Calligaris's signature innovation for this table family, and it has been refined across multiple generations.
Dimensions
W 63(86½) x D 35½ x H 29½(25½) in. W 160(220) x D 90 x H 75(65) cm.
In practical terms: the table is 63" wide × 35½" deep when closed, expanding to 86½" wide with the extension leaf deployed. Standard dining height is 29½". The height drops slightly to 25½" in the extended configuration — a minor variation in some configurations. At 63" × 35½" closed, it seats 4–6 comfortably; at 86½" extended, it seats 6–8, and up to 10 with tight spacing.
The "160" in the model name (CS4058-R 160) refers to the table's closed length in centimeters — 160cm = 63". This distinguishes it from other sizes in the Omnia family: the CS4058-R 200 (78¾" closed, extending to 98½") is the larger version.
Top Material Options
The Omnia CS4058-R 160 is configurable with three categories of top material:
Wood: Natural wood veneer in a range of stains. The wood top and its extension leaf are matched for grain and color continuity.
Tempered Glass: Available in clear, smoked, or other tinted glass options. Tempered for safety — significantly stronger than standard glass and designed to shatter safely if broken.
Ceramic-Stone: Calligaris's ceramic tops simulate natural stone (marble, concrete, or stone effects) at a fraction of the weight and with superior durability — ceramic is scratch-resistant, heat-resistant, and stain-resistant in ways natural stone is not. Options confirmed in retailer listings include White Marble ceramic, among others.
Leg & Frame Finish Options
The legs and frame are solid wood in a veneer finish. Confirmed options from retailer listings include Walnut veneer — one of the most commonly shown configurations. Other wood stain options are available through the configurator. The legs are always wood regardless of top material choice — the Omnia does not offer a metal-leg variant in this configuration (CS4058-R).
The Omnia Series: Other Sizes
The Omnia family extends beyond the 160 model:
CS4058-R 160 ( Model Shown): 160cm (63") closed → 220cm (86½") extended. Seats 4–6 closed, 6–10 extended.
CS4058-R 200: 200cm (78¾") closed → 260cm (102") extended. Larger version for bigger dining rooms.
Both share the same perimeter-leg extension mechanism and finish options.
